Regime Detector

Classify market microstructure regimes in real time across TradingView & NinjaTrader 8.

Last updated April 2026

Overview

Regime Detector classifies the market’s microstructure state in real time — volatility expansion and compression, session context, and liquidity tone — so you can align tactics with the tape instead of fighting it.

  • Designed for discretionary and systematic workflows
  • Outputs integrate with alerts on supported platforms
  • Regime labels are forward-looking from current structure, not repainted historical buckets

Platforms & builds

Licensed builds are delivered for TradingView (Pine-compatible distribution per your plan) and NinjaTrader 8. Feature parity is a design goal; platform-specific limits (e.g. NT8 vs TV alert routing) are noted in release notes.

Installation

After purchase, your license key and download / invite instructions are sent to the email on your account. Import the indicator or strategy package according to the platform wizard linked in your delivery email.

  • TradingView: add via invite or published script access as specified in delivery
  • NinjaTrader 8: unzip to Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\Indicators (or Strategies) unless your package uses the standard NT import tool

Key parameters

Defaults are tuned for liquid futures and major FX; adjust for thinner markets or longer horizons.

  • Session anchor — which session boundaries drive regime resets (RTH, ETH, or custom)
  • Volatility lookback — window for expansion / compression scoring
  • Liquidity sensitivity — weight on volume vs range in regime scoring
  • Smoothing — optional temporal smoothing of regime flips (reduces chatter, adds lag)

Alerts & automation

Regime transitions can drive alerts when the label changes or crosses a threshold you set. On TradingView, use built-in alert conditions on the script; on NT8, use strategy/indicator alert templates where supported.

Limitations & risk

Regime labels describe structural context, not guaranteed direction. Past regime behavior does not predict future performance. Always size and manage risk independently of any indicator output.
